My inspiration to begin this series of paintings began on a trip to Turkey. This is the first painting in my “Waterfalls” series. I was inspired by the true, undisturbed and natural character of the Turkish countryside. It felt pure and vibrant, yet quiet and untouched.

This is the second of my Turkish waterfall paintings. I fell in love with this waterfalls simplicity and the velvet like rocks when I first saw it.

This is my painting of Turkey. This specific waterfall will always be in my memory because my husband jumped from the top of it into the small pool at the bottom. I like the contrast of light and shade, created by colour, in this painting. Its simplicity makes it quite striking.
